Reflective Essay #4

As my "fiction suit" of myself I decided to have a conversation with Superman. In the conversation we talked about secret identities and how it's difficult at times to deal with two different identities. I thought back to my secret identity of my own personal self and the sports version of myself that is my "hero." In the conversation Superman gave me pointers on how to deal with my two different identities and most importanatly not to let them clash because that could cause many problems.

I decided to talk to my roommate as my good friend. I told her how much I really appreciated her as a friend and a great roommate. In the past I have not had good roommates at all. I really appreciate the way my roommate and I get along. We are like best friends. Her reaction was what i expected. She was very thankful and really appreciated me telling her I am thankful to have her as a great roommate.

  1. Do you feel like your connection with your roommate has become stronger because of you telling her how you felt?

  3. I believe it is the same and it's a strong connection. And I think I could get mixed in living a double life and sometimes let them connect.

  4. I like that you put your fiction suit in a situation that talks to Superman because he has two identites just like you. I also can relate to the not so good roommate situation you have gone through. It really stinks to not have a good connection with the person you live with in college but then again it makes you relalize who your true friends really are.
